It's Bonderman who has confidence that is holding him back big time...he has a HUGE mental block -- he gives away games in the early innings and you can see the lack of confidence on his face...He needs to learn to TRUST his best stuff and develop that killer instinct...It's clear that the Tigers should have a top tier sports psychologist on retainer to work with players that have some mental barriers (like Bonderman, Miller, Robertson, and maybe even Rodney). There are also players like Monroe that are really slumping too. Leyland has to try a new approach to reach some of these players or this season will become really painful for the Detroit Tigers.

Top athletes like A-Rod and Tiger Woods don't use sports psychologists by accident -- they are always taking advantage of ANY resource available to improve their performance.
