A look at Tiger prospect Michael Hollimon

Erie Seawolves
MiLB.com’s Around the Minors has a nice little spot up on Erie SeaWolves second baseman Michael Hollimon. You can view this by going directly to MiLB.com or there is a direct link here (Windows Media).

Michael Hollimon was the Tigers 16th round draft pick out of Oral Roberts University in 2005. He spent 2006 with the West Michigan Whitecaps becoming an All-Star at shortstop batting .278/.386/.501. He hit very well with the only real issue being his strikeouts of which he had 124 through 449 at-bats.

He impressed enough to skip Lakeland completely after this past spring and go directly to Erie where he was converted to second-base. So far this year his batting is a bit down going .239/.371/.410 but his walk-strikeout ratio has certainly improved.

Good look at a Tiger prospect, I suggest you take a look!
