Top Detroit prospect Andrew Miller made his first start for the Tigers Class AA team the Erie Seawolves. The Seawolves lost the match up despite Millers strong performance going 8 innings giving up 6 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 7 and walking none.
Miller started the year at the Tigers high Class A team the Lakeland Flying Tigers ending with a 1-4 record and 3.48 ERA through 7 starts. He was rather inconsistent to begin the season but was solid through his last few starts before being moved up to Erie.
