Jeremy Bonderman (1-0, 3.69 ERA) vs Horacio Ramirez (2-1, 6.64 ERA)

Jeremy Bonderman will start after being pushed back from his scheduled start on Sunday because of a blister. I don’t expect this to have a real impact on his performance. Jeremy will be looking to slow down the Mariners who, while starting off slow, have had a couple of important series wins of late. He’ll also try for his second win in a row.

For Seattle, Horacio Ramirez will take the mound and it will be the first time that the majority of Tiger batters will face him. Placido Polanco (3 for 5), Ivan Rodriguez (3 for 8) and Sean Casey (5 for 13) have had success against him though in limited at-bats. Ramirez has also had a number of very rocky starts.

Rain is on the forecast for this evening though not until around 10pm or so.
