Attendance around all of MLB has grown this spring but the Tigers have gotten a heck of a boost. From the Orlando Business Journal:
The Detroit Tigers, last year’s American League champions, have enjoyed a boost in attendance this spring at Lakeland’s Joker Marchant Stadium, averaging 7,375 per game, an increase of about 2,100 fans. For the March 10 game versus the Boston Red Sox, 9,140 entered the turnstiles.
In the Grapefruit League alone there has already been 1,047,141 in attendance. Quite impressive and good for baseball.
