This year’s on-field caps by New Era are available and named the 59FIFTY. These unlike the new BP caps, which is what is shown to the left here, don’t look much different at all but there are some changes. They have a black under visor to help with glare, they contain no wool to help with heat. There are many other improvements that you can read about in the article over at MLB.com.

Maybe the best improvement is:
“The best thing is, when it rains, the hats won’t stink like the wool ones did.”
I have plenty of caps for now so I probably won’t pick one up quite yet but am curious if anyone else will? I still have a brand new one sitting at home with a nice big World Series 06 logo on the side :)
