Looks like ex-Tiger Mark Redman over played his free agency hand a bit and wound up with nobody wanting to pick him up. I was surprised that nobody had taken him off the market up until now though I don’t know how much he was asking for but I can only guess it was quite a bit.
The Braves have signed him to a Minor League deal where he’ll likely end up in the rotation replacing Mike Hampton due to injury. They haven’t posted the amount of the contract but I’ll guess that the Braves got a steal and Mark got screwed and will have to live without Meche money.
