For those who haven’t noticed, 1270 XYT the Sports Station is replaying the top 10 Tigers games from the 2006 season. Seven of them were obvious the other three were voted for by listeners.

This week Nate Silver over at Baseball Prospectus wrote about the Best (Young) Outfields in the majors. The Tigers placed third with one already budding star in Curtis Granderson, top prospect Cameron Maybin and Gorkys Hernandez. Note that they are all centerfielders.

Nate Robertson had a tremendous 2006 season. He ended the year with a 3.48 ERA yet ended with a 13-13 win/loss record. This was attributed throughout the ‘06 season to poor run support by his teammates when he was on the mound.
