Detroit Rotation Tops BP ‘Stat of the Day’

I always enjoy reading the ‘Stat of the Day’ over at Baseball Prospectus. Today the statistic is ‘Top 5 2006 AL Rotations, by SNLVAR‘. I’ve reproduced it below as it will change tomorrow.

Two other AL Central teams also make the list; Indians and Twins. Buster Onley also points out that the Indians are set to have a stand out year.

The Indians have the makings of the kind of breakout rotation that Chicago had in 2005, that Detroit had last year.

Team VORP SNLVAR
Detroit Tigers 300.9 23.1
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 238.8 18.4
Cleveland Indians 170.3 17.3
Minnesota Twins 293.1 16.6
Oakland Athletics 251.1 16.0

The Tigers just need to build upon last year. It is going to be a great year for baseball here in Detroit.
