Spring Training TV; Mark your Calendars

Jason Beck has updated his blog pointing out the TV schedule has been posted for Tigers Spring Training. This is for a total of 6 spring training games between ESPN and FSN Detroit. Unfortunately a few of them are day games during the week though some FSND games are weekend games. This makes it 38 days until Tigers baseball is back on TV. Sounds short but still seems like a long time.

Additionally it appears that the Tigers will be getting more national airtime as well throughout the regular season. This is great as the Tigers got slotted late in the season for some Sunday Night Baseball games and some FOX Saturday day games (all of which they did not impress) but weren’t really looked at for the beginning of the season. Now Detroit is a team everyone has their eye on.

And yes Jason, thank you for the non-Direct TV TV news!

I WAS WONDERING WHY THE TIGERS TV SCHEDULE HAS YET TO BE ANNOUNCED. LAST YEAR WAS THE BEST EVER WITH ONLY 1 GAME NOT ON TV.I`M HOPING IT WILL BE MORE OF THE SAME THIS YEAR.

Yes, I’m waiting as well. I can only assume that with the hype now that all will be on TV again.

I also hope that they go as far as the Indians and put them all in HD as well: http://www.highdefforum.com/showthread.php?p=500515
