Zumaya’s speed is no lie.

There is a very good post over at Hardball Times going over how fast Zumaya’s fastball is compared to MLB. This discusses how trustworthy these speed guns are and what is being done to improve them.

Turns out that Zumaya’s fastball is over 2mph over the second fastest in 2006. Check it out!
