It looks as if the Tigers top prospect, Cameron Maybin, has been invited to the Detroit Tigers spring camp as reported on the main Tigers web site. After a standout rookie season with the West Michigan Whitecaps, helping them to a Midwest League championship, we’ll get a real chance to see what he can do against some big league pitchers.

Cameron made a few brief appearances in a few of last years spring training games but can expect more this year. He is scheduled to start the year off in Lakeland but is expected by many to move up to the Double A Erie Seawolves later in the season.

We’ll see where it goes from there!
